Only 30 ft from the beach and maybe 100 ft. from the rooms,
everyone can enjoy snorkeling on coral reefs closeby.
The Cat Island Dive Center was established in 1992 with a good knowlege of local divespots.
We are affiliated with PADI and offer courses from Open Water up to Divemaster level,
as well as Discover-scuba classes and trips for advanced divers.

There are two fast diveboats, 30 ft and 25ft. It only takes the boat 5 to 20 minutes
to reach some of the most interesting dive spots, Cat Island have to offer. There is modern,
reliable Scubapro equipment for rent at the diveshop. But it is recommended to bring your own ABC-gear
and a wetsuit for the cooler winter months. The maintence of the equipment
and the filling of the tanks are in hands of professional instructors with international certificates.

All divers are fascinated by the variety of species and by the underwaterworld in this remote part of the world.
Divetrips concist of small group, rarely more than 10 divers at a time to preserve this untouched environment.
The spectacular walls will impress even spoiled divers, starting at 45 ft
and dropping off to 3000ft. around Cat Island’s South shore.
A lot of the divesites are not often visited and there is only the occasional liveaboard in our divingarea.
Between the dropoff and the barrier reef you will fiind wonderful coralheads in every form and colour.
Encounters with turtles, rays, sharks, murray eels, dolphins and all kinds of reef fishes are common every day
in our crystal clear waters. There is also a inland blue hole near the resort,
which can be visited by snorklers or dived by experienced divers only.

Cat Island Dive Center is a complete PADI dive center operated independently
by PADI professionals with instruction, equipment and boats for your diving adventures.
Fishing trips, charters and boating can be arranged with local guides and boats.

Cat Island's southern wall begins at 50 ft and drops vertically to depths of
between 2,000 and 6,000 feet. Spectacular dives are only a short, comfortable boat ride away..
Explore coral canyons and sandy valleys.
Discover caves and tunnels teeming with thousands of species of fish.

Only two hours from Ft. Lauderdale, Cat Island is a diver's paradise.
With more than twelve miles of unlimited wall diving sites along the southern coast alone,
you'll soon see why Cat Island and Cat Island Dive Center are fast becoming THE name in SCUBA.
And, we are affiliated with PADI and offer a complete certification course.

Along the wall, we find colourful coralls, tunnels, swimthroughs, grottos and pinacles teaming with a rainbow of marine life.
Even the occasional shark can be found sleeping in the tunnel or patroling along the wall.
The extraordinary diversity of reef and coral formations will make every dive an adventure.
Come and dive with us, to discover Cat Island’s famous walls and pristine coral reefs.
